The IUD National Standards 2013 were developed by representatives and members of SH&FPA, the RACGP, and RANZCOG and was funded by Bayer Australia Ltd. The purpose of these standards is to outline the minimal clinical competencies required for both inserters and non-inserters of IUDs in Australia.

The Contraceptive Counselling Card was created in September 2012 and funded by MSD Australia. The card clearly depicts the different contraceptive methods available in Australia and the efficacy of each.
